This morning, the Wood Frog and Northern Green Frog Chorus was active around the pond, their calls filling the air as the day began with overcast skies and moderate temperatures. Despite the presence of a persistent Broad Branch Heron, which made another failed hunting attempt, the amphibian activity remained undeterred. The recent steady temperatures have contributed to a stable environment for both the frogs and the diverse insect population, which continues to thrive near the water's edge.
